Thmeet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 7:00 p.m. at city hall. Two (2) three-year positions are available.Applicants for this commission must be available for an interview with the Planning Commission on Tuesday, February20 in the early evening and with the City Council on either February 26, March 12 or 26 in the early eveningPark & Recreation Commission: This commission acts as an advisory board to the City Council, reviewingIl recreation, leisure, and park-related issues. This includes park development, recreation programming, andimplementation of the recreation section of the Comprehensive Plan. They meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month30 p.m. at city hall. Two (2) three-year positions are available. There are also one or two youth representativepositions available on the Park & Recreation Commission. These positions are open to high school students (ages 118) and are voting members of the commission. Terms of Youth Representatives are for one year. Applicants for thiscommission must be available for an interview with the Park & Recreation Commission on Tuesday, February 27 in thearly evening and with the City Council on either March 12 or 26 in the early eveningEnvironmental Commission: This commission acts as a citizen outreach and education board for the City Counciles addressed by the commission include water quality, forestry, stormwater management, and water conservationeducation. They meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at city hall. Four (4) three-year positions areavailable. Applicants for this commission must be available for an interview with the Environmental Commission onWednesday, February 14 in the early evening and with the City Council on either February 26, March 12 or 26 in theearly evening.Senior Commission: This commission examines the needs of senior citizens in the community. They review issues suchas housing, information and referral services, transportation, and senior center operations. They meet the 3rd Fridayof each month at 10:00 a.m. at city hall. Three (3) three-year positions are available. Applicants for this commissionmust be available for an interview with the Senior Commission on Friday, February 16 in the morning and with the CityCouncil on either February 26, March 12 or 26 in the early evening(Publish in the Chanhassen Villager on January 11, 18 & 25, 2018)
